In the south west corner of Dartmoor
Meavy is a small village and civil parish in the borough of West Devon, the county of Devon and is within Dartmoor National Park. The village is a conservation area. It lies some 12 miles or so north of Plymouth. The River Meavy runs near the village and Burrator Reservoir is about one mile to the north east.
